Feminine Embodiment

"The way that I work is by starting on the micro and then moving out to the macro- to bring the focus to our own wounding and find our way through our own personal healing. Then it is a natural evolution to start connecting with other women and supporting each other."

How do you describe your work?
I refer to it as Womb Wisdom, which is the remembering and awakening of the power and possibility within our physical bodies and energetic fields that connects us to the Divine and to our own ways of knowing. This has been forgotten for quite some time, but now there is a flourishing of this awakening.

Why is that happening right now?
I feel like this comes from this deeper level of the energy of the earth that has a natural mechanism with the web that is seeking to find balance when something becomes out of balance. The divine feminine has been repressed for a long time, and rising up as a natural consequence of being suppressed. There are also a lot of people who are willing and able to tap into the energies of the earth right now and they are receiving information and sharing practices with others.

How do you work with Womb Wisdom?
The way that I work is by starting on the micro and then moving out to the macro. What that means for me is to bring the focus to our own wounding and find our way through our own personal healing. Then it is a natural evolution to start connecting with other women who are doing this kind of work. And then we are creating this web where we can support each other, which is also part of the womb wisdom around how to heal our sisterhood and the wounding that we may have in our relationships with other women.

How did you get into this work?
I was on my healing journey for over 10 years before this really came into focus for me. I was working with different healing modalities, connecting with the plants, and through the plants, I awakened to a deeper awareness of myself as a woman. From that awakening I sought out  teachers who were talking about things like sacred sexuality and Tantra.

Who are some of your teachers?
My first teacher was Sophia Sundari, she really helped me channel and honor this wild feminine energy, and then also get comfortable with the reality that there are different expressions coming through at different times. We did a lot of work around Kali for over a year, and it was one of the most intense times of my life - so many things blew up and caught on fire. I have also studied with Layla Martin, David Deida, Lisa Page and Nina Lombardo.

How can people work with you?
I offer one-on-one sessions in Brooklyn and Upstate New York. I do a combination of gentle hands on work and energy work supported by the plants and flower essences. I also offer  jade egg initiation sessions and yoni steam sessions. It's so incredible to hear the feedback of how things shift and change for women after doing these simple yet deeply profound practices.

What are your favorite plants right now?
Rose for me is a guiding star, I feel she is my guardian plant ally. I do everything with Rose - I have elixirs, I have flower essences, I have flower baths, I have oils.  I’m also working with Blue Lotus, which I was initiated into when I was in Egypt.

What are your daily rituals?
I do an energetic practice every day of connecting with the center of the earth and releasing all of the energy I don’t need and that isn’t serving me. I smudge my house every day, I dance, I journal. When I am in Brooklyn, I always have a little linen bag of different herb blends when I am walking around my neighborhood, and I make offerings to the earth.

What does personal healing have to do with community?
I'll go back to this image of the web. The way I see it is I'm this little piece in the web, and the more that I am well, the more I'm contributing not only to my piece, but also to all of the pieces around me and influencing those parts around me to be well.

What is on your altar right now?
I have a chalice that a friend of mine made for me with Celtic designs on it. A red tailed hawk feather by our sweat lodge. I have an Isis statue and a painting that I brought from Egypt. I have a rock that I got from the caves of Mary Magdalene, it really spoke to me and said that it was for courage.
